Lough Key Forest Park

Lough Key is one of the most beautiful lakes in Ireland. Situated about 2 miles east of Boyle, it was once part of the Rockingham Estate, granted to Sir John King at the beginning of the 17^th century. The forest park, comprising about 350 hectares of woodland, the lake, beautiful walks and many points of architectural and archaeological interest, is one of the most extensive in Ireland.
