Boyle

Situated to the north of the county, Boyle is a busy, historic town, full of interest.

King House

King House is a beautifully restored 18th century Georgian mansion, built around 1730. Apart from being a family home for the King family, it has also been used as a barracks for various armies and a prison for revolutionaries following the Easter Uprising in 1916. It is now a centre for culture and history and is open to the public from April to September.
